Microsoft Convergence has come and gone, and there are so many great memories of things seen and done – but a particularly special highlight of the trip so far was seeing Ignify customer Celluphone receiving recognition for their business accomplishments, as well as for their significant contributions to the Microsoft Dynamics community, from the Microsoft Convergence team. Celluphone, winner of the 2012 Microsoft Dynamics Champion Customer Excellence Award, was honored for their win at a special reception for the select few who earned Customer Excellence Awards.

The 2012 Customer Excellence Awards, which are presented in 9 categories, recognize and celebrate Microsoft Dynamics customers that have achieved notable accomplishments using their Microsoft Dynamics solutions. After an intensive assessment process of each category’s nominees, a team of Microsoft executive judges then reviewed and selected from the proposed winners for each category the final winner. Each year the awards are given at the Convergence conference.

Celluphone’s use of Microsoft Dynamics AX in managing the company’s financial, warehousing, and logistics operations has powerfully impacted the company, enabling the organization to increase its business, automate previously manual processes, and ultimately provide unparalleled customer support to its retailers. With a fully integrated, highly flexible business management system and built-in multi-company support, Celluphone had increased efficiency in its warehouse operations by 50 percent, achieved total operational growth of nearly 40 percent, and improved customer and dealer service.

Working with Ignify – winner of the Worldwide Microsoft Dynamics Partner of the Year Award in 2011 – since Celluphone went live on Microsoft Dynamics AX in 2008, Celluphone has developed and presented numerous materials on the use of Microsoft Dynamics AX, including the return on investment (ROI) and intangible benefits that the system has delivered to them.

Ignify is especially proud of our customer’s award, and glad to have leveraged our company’s technical, design, and functional expertise to assist our customer in developing and achieving a winning ERP transition.

Congratulations, Celluphone, on a truly well-deserved win!

These past few days have been a whirlwind of activity, and we’re glad to notch another Convergence experience onto our belt. We already are looking forward to next year, and we can’t wait to see you there!

After an action-packed event opening on Sunday, Monday was another action-packed day here in Houston, with so many educational sessions to attend and different people to meet. But one particularly exciting event was the eCommerce and Order Entry for Microsoft Dynamics Speaking Session hosted by Ignify.

This event really brought out a lot of Dynamics Users and Microsoft partners looking to better understand ecommerce for Microsoft Dynamics functionality, and to get introduced to the Order Entry for Dynamics solution. With both solutions offering full integration with Microsoft Dynamics ERP and CRM systems, this session covered a lot of material that appealed to both the business-minded and the technologically-oriented in the crowd.

At this demo, the speakers focused on Ignify eCommerce features that increasing customer conversion rates, and functionality that enables quick and easy ordering processes. Ignify demonstrated quick Return on Investment on the ecommerce solution with customer examples and with functionality that helps increase revenues for merchants. Showing a variety of Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) online store templates, as well as the rich product category displays and inventory management capabilities available within each store, the team facilitated a highly informative and engaging session.

Order Entry was also the big topic of the session, with the team demonstrated how the system is essential for companies looking to improve their customer service and make the lives of their customer service representatives easier. Using this system, customer service reps (CSRs) are able to get instant insight into customer, quickly enter orders, and to view and edit orders that have not been processed. CSRs can also create a new order, or edit existing orders including adding or removing items, changing ship method, or address, or discount amount on an order. Seeing how this Excel-like system allows easy keying in of orders and information, the audience was able to connect with the message of efficiency and resources saved.

World Vision featured on Stage at Microsoft Convergence for Dynamics AX success

March 19th, 2012 Sandeep Walia No comments

World Vision, the global humanitarian aid organization, was on stage today at the General Session at Microsoft Convergence at the George Brown Convention center in Houston, TX.

World Vision is a relief, development and advocacy organization that serves about 100 million people in nearly 100 countries worldwide and is dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to fight poverty and injustice. But despite wishing to serve every person who needs their services was unable to follow through on their goal due to an inefficient, error-prone supply chain management (SCM) system.

Sharon Boyle Director of Supply Chain at World Vision on the impact Dynamics AX had created in improving supply chain for donations and managing operations and ultimately improving lives.

Sharon Boyle, Director Supply Chain at World Vision, talked about how World Vision uses the Dynamics AX system to optimize the organization’s operations, and how this solution enables World Vision to keep doing their good work in a quicker, more efficient, and more transparent way.

Sharon recognized her team in Mongolia, Senegal where Dynamics AX has been deployed. Sharon also recognized Ignify's ability to deliver the solution cost-effectively with strong leadership.

But even though World Vision’s management and organization of supply requests with the adaptable applications of Microsoft Dynamics AX is in itself noteworthy, what is even more remarkable about their use of Microsoft Dynamics AX is that it is operating in places where even the most basic amenities – electricity, clean drinking water, etc. – are hard to come by. In places with severe limitations such that they cannot even get cell phone service, Microsoft Dynamics AX allows the World Vision team to continue running their supply chain smoothly, efficiently, and with total visibility, even when they are placed in the remotest reaches of the globe.

This was a very proud moment for all of us at Ignify to see our work create such a profound impact in the lives of thousands of people across the world.
