The Microsoft Dynamics community knows it’s that special time of year – Microsoft Convergence! As a Bronze Sponsor, the Ignify team is really excited to learn about all the new Microsoft Dynamics updates and features, and also to meet new people.

We are especially excited to unveil our newest Ignify eCommerce software release – Ignify eCommerce Release 6.5!

With the retail industry experiencing the continually rising trend of consumers accessing online stores from a variety of different devices, improving storefront performance and device/browser capability have been key focus areas of the latest Ignify eCommerce release.

An out-of-the-box mobile checkout has also been added to provide a production-ready mobile storefront for merchants to deploy – which enables merchants to quickly create and launch a mobile retail channel. The mobile store layout has a simple and touch-friendly design to guarantee ease of use, with special attention paid to performance, ensuring that bandwidth and performance constraints on a mobile device do not come in the way of a seamless and easy shopping experience for customers.

Some of the other important new business functionality in Ignify eCommerce Release 6.5 includes:

  • Optimized product catalog for web and mobile phone storefront applications.
  • Enhanced reporting that provides greater flexibility for customizing reports.
  • Performance optimized search engine that ensures the system can scale extensively.
  • An inventory depletion mechanism that reduces inventory in the SKU Master (in real time) as orders are either placed on the store or by customer service representatives.
  • The ability to give more reward points in a loyalty program.
  • A flexible copy feature to copy quotes and orders within or across different customer accounts.
  • Re-launch of the gift certificate feature on new checkout framework and Order Entry.
  • Simplified management of merchant product recommendations via different landing pages for configuration.

Retailers also experience various holiday seasons that bring high traffic levels to online stores, a factor that has been addressed and supported in the latest Ignify eCommerce product version. Ignify eCommerce Release 6.5 comes equipped with an inventory depletion mechanism that reduces the inventory in the SKU Master (in real time) as orders are either placed on the store or by customer service representatives. Since the stock is depleted in real time during checkout and order entry, backorders can be avoided. Shoppers can also be alerted before placing an order if they try to purchase more quantity than is available.

Product catalog management has also been enhanced in Ignify eCommerce 6.5, offering improved self-service capabilities to online store managers. One such example is the ability to import customer and editorial reviews and publish them directly to the online store, enabling store managers to more quickly and efficiently broadcast outside communication on company products and services – which helps to further influence shopper buying behavior.  

Catalog management is also enriched with standard, in-built reports, helping merchants better analyze the product catalog and plan merchandising strategies.
